Robert M. Campy Jr
Board Member
Robert M. Campy Jr. brings over two decades of experience in education, wellness, and community engagement to the Board of The Center for the Arts Foundation. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Kinesiology Department at George Fox University, where he develops and leads coursework in health, wellness, and exercise science. His academic journey includes a Master of Science in Physical Education with a focus on Sports Administration and Exercise Physiology from Eastern Washington University, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Athletic Training.
In addition to his higher education roles at George Fox, Warner Pacific University, and Clackamas Community College, Robert has taught in the Gresham-Barlow School District, contributing to youth education in health and physical education. Throughout his career, he has been a dedicated mentor, curriculum designer, and advocate for student well-being.
Robert has an extensive record of service through university committees and community advisory boards, emphasizing equity, student support, and wellness programming. His scholarly work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications and national conference presentations on biomechanics, perceived exertion, and muscle activation.
A passionate educator and community leader, Robert is enthusiastic about advancing the intersection of education, health, and the arts. His commitment to promoting the diversity of creativity in our community makes him a valuable asset to the Foundation’s mission of fostering creativity, culture, and connection.
